As promised - my room in color. Here’s the “girly” purple …
I’m not too fond of the color Matt picked out for the other walls, but I’m to the point that I don’t give a damn. JUST GIVE ME A BED!!
More of what will now be forever referred to as the “other color”. I will forever discriminate against this color. It’s inferior. The large outlet/bracket in the center of the wall is for the plasma TV and you can see the work in progress on the window sills in the big window. I’m hoping Matt gets the bench top made soon. I’m ready to put together a comfy cushion for it and start throw pillow shopping!

I have been blog neglecting for 4 months now. Gosh, I’m the world’s biggest slacker! Two months ago we hired Vaughn’s Remodeling to come in and do a ton of finishing work on our bedroom. If you’ve ever worked with contractors, you know that their time lapses much different from ours. Two weeks to us is two months for a contractor. Just keep that in mind if you ever hire one and they tell you they can start the job in a week. Anyway, I should have taken pictures of these guys because I swear one of them was a masculine Elton John. Anyhoo, enjoy a couple of finishing pictures. Matt and I painted the accent wall tonight - Benjamin Moore’s “Autumn Purple”. Some of the guys at work were harrassing Matt about his “girly” bedroom. This purple is in no way girly. I’ll post pictures of the wall once we have the second coat on it. Meanwhile, enjoy these two:

Pay no attention to Beth’s Christmas present there. I had no where else to put it when it was delivered. HA! We got a coat of KILZ on the wall to your left. That was the original sheetrock from the garage and had apparently seen the weather a time or two. Not enough that it couldn’t be salvaged, however. The ceilings are level, pay no attention to how it looks in the images. I never can get pictures to post correctly on this thing!
